What can I expect on my first visit?

You can expect to find a warm welcome. As a first-time guest, you will not be asked to publicly introduce yourself. One of our ushers or greeters will give you a visitor packet. This includes a couple of resources that will be a blessing to you. It also includes a visitor card. All we ask of you is that you fill that card out and place it in the offering plate. This is so we can have a record of your visit.

You can expect the Bible to be taught and preached as the inerrant and infallible Word of God. You can expect hearty singing of the great hymns of our faith. You can expect music from our choirs, groups, instrumentalists, and individuals that honors Christ, preparing the heart for worship and the ministry of the Word of God.

You can expect to find a church family that prays for each other’s needs. You can expect to find a place to serve Christ in the ministry of this local church. You can expect to find a church advancing in the work God has given it to do, both in our community and around the world.

Where do I take my children?

If you have nursery age children, we have clean nurseries and caring workers. These workers will do all they can to make you feel comfortable as you enter the service. The distance from the nursery to the auditorium is only a few steps away.

If you have school-aged children, they begin in the auditorium with the adults and teens. The children are dismissed to Children’s Church during the hand-shaking time. In their class, they are taught the great Bible stories. The lesson is reinforced with review games. Song time is also an important part of their service. The classroom for Children’s Church is only a few steps away from the auditorium. Our ushers and greeters will be happy to help you find your way around our building.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Harvest Baptist Temple for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Harvest Baptist!
